The National Institute of Public Health has asked CRU “Hidromoreva” to stop producing water from the well in the neighbourhood of commercialia; and as soon as water production from the contaminated well is normalized, as water supply is made from tanks for this part of Kamenica's city.
After obtaining information on water contamination allegations in a section of the Kamenica municipality's water supply, managed by CRU “Hidromorava”, the National Institute of Public Health reports that apart from regular control and water monitoring for drink, on August 24, 2019, it is on the ground and has immediately received water samples that are analyzed in the labs of this institute.
In a chemical aspect, according to the Institute, the analysis results in chemical contamination with over-in excess of ammonia values, nitrate and mangane as a result of the mixture of polluted waters and their penetration in open bunkers that take water from the Krivareka River. Station 1 has three deep closed drillings and four open bunkers.
“Based on chemical drinking analysis does not meet the conditions to be used as water for drink under pre-standards with water quality drinking regulation, the UA 16/2012”, says the report.
The National Institute on August 24th 2019 recommended:
- CRU “Hidromoreva” ceases production of water from the well in Malsiasia district, pump station No.1. And as soon as water production is normalized from the contaminated well
- Until the normalisation of water production, water supply is made from tanks for this part of the city of Kamenica.
- CRU “Hedromoreva” to continue control of drinking water across the entire territory of Kamenica municipality and reinforce control
- CRU “Hydromoreva” clears reservoirs and distribution network with hyperchloric castration and
- The company must regularly disinfect water, raise vigilance and safety of water resources by creating strict protective zones under MMPH laws and regulations.
- The supply of well - maintained water for drinking and preparing food.
IK The KPS also says it will continue with monitoring water quality for drinks according to legal competencies in force with high professional responsibility, providing professional support and ongoing co-operation with the CRU “Hedromoreva”.
With these recommendations, we have prevented any ahydical eventual explosion of uncontrolled proportions. The epidemiological situation and sonaration are under continued control by the National Institute's caretaker teams, and any change in the epidemiological situation will follow new recommendations”, the report said.
