The Democratic League of Kosovo has not reached any agreement for a consensual party candidate. The LDK leadership is holding meetings today, just like all week, but nobody has yet to disclose the candidates' names. Fatmir Sejdiu, who has expressed his readiness to lead the party, says it is not part of the controversial consensus.
According to Fatmir Sejdiu, the LDK Assembly delegates in a free and democratic manner should choose the party chairman, and in no way should this body impose any candidacy.
“saw media reports. No, I'm not part of this controversial consensus. My stances regarding my candidacy have been expressed publicly, and I have also notified Mr. LDK's Aztec chairman. Mustafa at yesterday's meeting and central leadership through it. It is known that the Assembly delegates as the highest LDK body should choose the LDK chairman, in a free and democratic manner, and that this organ should not be served or imposed on any constitutionalx1> candidacy, Sejdiu tells Kosovapress.
The LDK will hold the Electoral Assembly tomorrow, where the party chairman and the General Council are expected to be elected.
In addition to mentioning possible names to lead this party, it has also been talked about a consensus candidate to lead the LDK.
The deputy chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lutfi Haziri, at a media conference after the chairmanship meeting, said that without the LDK there are neither elections nor solutions to the political situation in the country.
He said they are working on mobilising party delegates, where he said 355 delegates have already confirmed the turnout.
He said the LDK for 514 electoral votes has a candidate, which, according to him, led to greater representation in this subject than in other subjects.
In tomorrow's LDK Assembly, this party, which so far has been led by Isa Mustafa, is expected to attend 355 delegates from 38 branches.
