Dressed in a grey sports suit, Rooney tried not to show off, but it was impossible.
The English striker has remained 13 months of contracting from the 3-year agreement with DC United to Major League Soccer, but he flew to England on Monday night and is expected to complete the transfer to the “Predde Park” this Tuesday.
Rooney has adapted very well to life in the U.S., but he has been planning the next step in his career for months, dedicated to training.
Although under contract with DC United until next year, Rooney is willing to break the deal prematurely. His manager, Paul Stratford, held preliminary talks with Derby's owner, Mel Morris.
Wayne Rooney is believed to have canceled the contract with Dc United within this summer to start his new experience as a player-trainer. /Supersport/
