NATO officials: Serbia's reckless statements spur interethnic tensions

Berisha announced NATO's representative regarding the KSF transition process, reconfirming that this process will be transparent and guarantees the development of a reliable Force for all Kosovo citizens and the grant of contributions to peace and security in the region and beyond.
The minister also stressed that the reckless statements by Serbia's top officials do not contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the region and could fuel increasing interethnic tensions.
He added that Kosovo is committed to Euro-Atlantic values and that the KSF is ready to support allies whenever required.
While, Soula stressed that NATO has a long-term commitment to Kosovo and that supporting through NALT for KSF will continue. Soula also announced the minister for high-level NATO discussions about NATO-KSF co-operation in the future.
Minister Berisha voiced confidence that discussions within NATO about relations with the KSF will advance and that allies will make decisions that serve to deepen our reports, mutual confidence and stability in the region.
Even at the meeting of KSF's leader, Lieutenant General Rama with NATO senior official Soula spoke of good co-operation between NATO and KSF, through NALT and NATO advisers, as well as the continued commitment Kosovo has to be a NATO member state, as well as an integrated state in the EU.
