Minister Shala awaits British Ambassador Ruairi O'Connell at farewell meeting

Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala has hosted a farewell meeting of United Kingdom Ambassador to Pristina Ruairi O'Connell.

Minister Shala has thanked Ambassador O'Connell for the support the United Kingdom has given Kosovo in the country's economic development and strengthening institutions.

“Thank you for the United Kingdom and for Ambassador O'Connell's continued support for Kosovo in strengthening our institutions. The Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom have excellent relations and I hope that soon these relations will deepen in economic terms as well, boosting trade exchanges”, said Minister Shala.

While Ambassador Ruair O'Connell thanked the minister for the co-operation, stressing that the UK will continue to be a supporter of Kosovo.

The ambassador stressed that the UK and Kosovo have very special relations, and also praised that economic co-operation should be deepened.
