R&B star was to appear before the court at the pretrial hearing for his case of sexual abuse in Chicikago, Illinois, on Thursday.
Kelly's lawyer said it wasn't “100% true” that the singer had refused transportation, but explained that Kelly's “movement is a complicated and large task”.
The singer is currently facing several state and federal charges of sexual abuse in the US, which he denies.
The charges include sexual assault, child abuse, improper images of minors, recruiting and obstructing justice.
