At the conference on the theme: “Gender Barazia ʹ unfinished battle”, organised by the LDK Women's Forum supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, head of the Women's Forum, FreedomKatazi said the LDK has always made favourable policies for each woman, even for those in the housekeeping.
Catetazi stressed that the “Gender Equality ʹ unfinished battle” is the unwanted appointment, but the reality is this. She said she continued to demand more representation of women in politics and decision-making.
“The LDK has always made good policies that have improved the lives of each and what is at home, and let alone the institution. We keep asking for more representation, we didn't get all expectations, we needed more. Today the General Council will come the dome of these elections and choose the chairmanship, but we hope that you will be represented with dignity”, Cajazi said.
Even LDK Secretary Ismet Beqiri has held a word on behalf of President Isa Mustafa. Beqiri expects that on the list for MPs will be dignifiedly represented even women, even though according to him, the LDK has given greater support to women, 51 per cent in proportion to men.
“A should and is our duty not to forgive and donate, but to create greater space that is uncontested. Because we do have ladies, ladies and women who are wise and courageous, who should just not be overwhelmed with a spirit of dedication, with space given, and not given away by anything”, Beqiri stressed.
While Premtina Rakovica of Konrad Adenauer confirmed that representation of women in politics and leadership positions remains disappointing.
“We often hear that Kosovo stands well in representation of women because 30 per cent of the municipal municipalities and the Kosovo assembly are women, but this is something that is determined by law and in executive positions women are missing”, dekali Rakovica. /
