Serbian President: I'm going to become the mad Wukchiqi of the infamous Robin Hood just to send food and water to the Serbs

Serbia is using mountain roads <x0lterative” to send goods to the northern part of Kosovo inhabited by Serbs to avoid the 100 per cent tax, the Serbian president said Wednesday, comments that would likely further exacerbate relations between Belgrade and Pristina. Kosovo has taxed 100 percent [...]
Kosovo has imposed 100 per cent tax on Serbian goods last November as a punitive measure after Serbia blocked it from joining the international police agency Interpol as a divided state, Reuters reports.
The tax has caused difficulties for four majority Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo who have pledged loyalty to Belgrade and openly ignore Pristina authorities. Shops and other businesses in the area closed from Monday to Wednesday in protest of the tax, Koha.net broadcasts.
The tax has also blocked talks on normalising relations between Serbia and Kosovo a key precondition for both countries to achieve the goal of one day joining the European Union.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq said in front of reporters Wednesday that Serbia will continue to send supply trucks via “allterative” mountain that are often used by smugglers to send goods to their countrymen until the tax is lifted.
We'll do whatever it takes to send food, water and medicine to our people... even if I become a notorious European Robin Hood... that crazy Vuchy that sends food and water out of forest”, he said.
Serbia's exports to Kosovo are estimated at around 500m euros annually.
The Kosovo government has said that goods that have come from Serbia have already been replaced by imports from other countries in recent months.
