Robbery in Rinas, Albania Police Suspecting Robbers Passed to Kosovo

From the Elbasan police, under the direction of the Elbasan Prosecutor, under the investigation of criminal proceedings recorded near this prosecutor for criminal work “Cleaning products of criminal activity or criminal activity”, during today's morning the code-named police operation “Qusarth” was finalised for the deployment of preventative sucests to the property of 31-year-old KC and its family.

Under the operation, the presidential sequentine was established for real estate and ownership shares, which are allegedly benefited from criminal activity, as follows:

-1 apartment, 50 m2, in the town of Elbasan;

-rich of the type of field + surfaces 500 m2 and a building of the type of units that are 167.9 m2 built on this wealth, in the place called Kusarth, Elbasan;

-rich of the 809.5 m2 field type, on which the entrepreneurship contract is registered for the construction of 3 villas from 1 level plus subchita 166 m2 each, worth investment of 15,662,000 each, at the place called Kusart, Elbasan;

-50% of the shares of a citizen-owned company E.C., in the country called Bradashesh, Elbasan.

From the preliminary assessment of the overmarked assets, it turns out that they amount to about 500,000 Euros.

It also becomes known that investigations and verifications are under way to examine other active and real estates in the name of this citizen or his family.

Police continue to be in search of Clement Cala, a person with outstanding criminal records in the area of robbery in Albania and Greece, his brother Eldi Chala, as well as Tallo Chala, who was announced in search of the robbery located in Rinas on April 9th of this year, where millions of euros were seized in a few minutes and Admir Murataj was killed.

Police have also exchanged information with Kosovo police, as it is believed the suspects may have crossed the border after the robbery.

Police have earlier cuffed the citizens of Ragip Hajdini, Elton Picli, Renaldo Sulla, Oltjan Veselini, Saimir Cala and Alcond Bengasi. This latter's testimony revealed the group, agreeing to cooperate with justice. On June 15th of this year the police also put Hasan Canac, the person who informed the robbers from within the airport. While the search exercised in his apartment was found at around 100,000 euros, converted into various bank notes, for which there is strong suspicion of belonging to the amount of 4.6m euros robbed in Rinas, which would be transported by plane from Albania to Vienna.

Clement Chala, known as a very dangerous character, has been on the run since 2013, along with crimes committed earlier in Albania and Greece, is already suspected of the 9 April robbery and is thought to have had a major role. Chala was known for his strong link to Admir Muratain, who was killed after the violent robbery at the airport after they were fled together from Trikalla prison in Greece. /BalkanWeb/
