To date (July 15th), La Ligas' clubs have spent more than 1 billion euros. La League may even boast that it has so far carried out the six most expensive transfers to this wine merkato: Joao Felix (126 million), Grizmann (120), Hazard (100), De Jong (75), Jovic (60) and Militao (50).
As expected, the three major clubs -- Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico -- lead investment in merkato. Real Madrid, after the last catastrophic season, has so far spent 303m euros on Hazard, Militão, Mendy, Jovic and Rodrygo.
