10 Poisoned at a Wedding

The reason, unofficially, was the cake that was bought and then brought to the wedding. From the hospital in Struga, 10 patients are said to have accepted, although according to Alsat's sources, this figure has been higher.

According to hospital director Muhamet Asani, patients have been accepted with symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. After medical examination, patients have been released for home healing.

There are no hospitals in our departments. None of the accepted patients have been hospitalised, since they have not been in serious condition, and after the medical intervention they have been released to the house”- explained Muhamet Asani, director of Struga Hospital.

From the Ohrid Regional Public Health Centre for Alsat announced that if the institution accepts calls from the Agency for Food and veterinarians, then they will receive samples from the food.

From the Home Affairs Department in Ohrid, we were informed that no such case has been reported to them right now.

Their website agency informs that more than 7 tonnes of unsafe food from animal descent and non-candies has been destroyed in May of this year. In the same time period, 5,534 inspection checks have been realised.

A total of 636 inspection measures have been pronounced for consistent irregularities.
