Montenegro reacts to Kosovo tourist condemnation: We've warned you about paying the tax.

Today it became known that Malaysian police have sentenced the 40-euro fine to tourists from Kosovo who have not paid the tourist tax imposed by the Ulcinj Tourist Organisation reports Periscope. This organisation had imposed a tax that each foreign tourist visiting this municipality must pay the 0.70-center tourist tax for 24 hours, while for children it costs 0.05 cents per day of stay.

The punishment of tourists who have paid this tax took place at the border crossing in Sukobina.

The application of this tax and the fine-pointed border crossing at Ulcinj's exit for Albania have created long columns, as police on every one who has not paid the tax have fined 40 euros and must be paid immediately.

This tax has raised serious concerns not only with tourists but also with bus companies who, after the passenger fines, have suffered a drastic decline in the number of travelers to Ulcinj and who say that if this form does not stop, the buses will also stop because of the lack of passengers.

Citizens and bus companies from Kosovo, who spend large numbers of holidays in Ulcinj, have also had remarks on the 2.5-euro tax at the Bus station in Ulcinj, as well as the high-level concentration and parking prices.

Also disturbing since postwar is automotive security and that the two states must reach a security agreement.

Montenegro's Deputy Tourism Minister Qazim Hoxha has clarified to the eye.net that the tax of 0.70 cents per day should be paid by tourists and that the owners of the houses they live in are obliged to deal with the payment of tourist tax.

He indicated they have made the sensationalisation of the opinion regarding this tax.

I am informed that police have fined tourists at the border crossing point in Sukobina, but tourists must pay the tourist tax. We will see the possibility of what will be done”, Zv said. Montenegro's Tourism Minister.
