Argentina is involved in cold weather causing additional problems for homeless people who are suffering and needing food.
Since last Thursday, media there have reported five deaths as a result of cold weather.
Meanwhile, there are concerns about increasing the number of people sleeping in the streets of Argentina for economic reasons.
While helping to alleviate this situation in his native Rosario, Messi has decided to provide free food and drink to the homeless during the evening at his family's restaurant.
The restaurant, called “VIP”, is providing food for the homeless since Friday and will continue to do so in the days ahead.
