Pristina Fire Brigade Commander Latif Zeka said that during these months, March has been more problematic because of the drought.

Zeka has also talked about the actual capacity of firefighters, who say it conflicts with the law.

We have 98 firefighters right now, plus we have five of the Fushe Kosovo working within the Pristina Firefighters Brigade. Under the law, which is in 1500 a fireman, Pristina must have at least 200, as our brigade covers three other municipalities”, Zeka has said.

Otherwise, Zeka said there are 17 free spots left for firefighters, for which she hopes to open the competition very soon.
