Hahn: Tax issue resolved as soon as possible

EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn, at the Western Balkans summit currently held in Poznan, Poland, has also mentioned the tax issue Kosovo has imposed on Serbian and Bosnian products.

He has called for the issue to be resolved as soon as possible.

We hope to sign some agreements here in Poznan to liberalise trade and facilitate services. We strongly oppose imposing trade barriers as a tool for political pressure “.

He added that Western Balkan leaders should work towards good neighbourly relations, regional co-operation and meaningful reconciliation, as they are preconditions for joining the EU.

He also said the entire region should follow the example of northern Macedonia and increase the pace of reforms, particularly in rule of law, fundamental rights and good governance.
