Jeremy Corbin [Jeremy Corbyn] has declared that his party will support Britain's EU-seeking campaign if the conservatives decide to make a new referendum.
The lab leader has been under intense pressure to maintain the anti-Brex stance, but he has insisted on consulting other party leaders and trade unions.
In a statement sent to party members, he made no reference for the position Laborists would take if general elections were held in the near future.
Corbyn wrote: “Whoever becomes the next prime minister must have the confidence to move the agreement forward, or go without agreement, and ask the people for their vote. Under those circumstances, I want to make it clear that the Laborists would campaign to remain in the EU against the possibility of coming out without agreements or deals with conservatives that do not protect our jobs and our economy. ”
Corbyn has acknowledged that Brexit's case has been very divisive for his party. /Periscope
