This is the first time that a representative of the Albanian community of Azerbaijan is expected at an official Albanian institution.
“Udi Community, one of the oldest communities in Azerbaijan, is the descendant of the Udi tribe one of the 26 Albanian tribes living in the Caucasus around the V century. Today, they are about 4 thousand residents stationed in the village of Nij, where they still preserve the language, religion, culture, and traditions of their ancestors”, says the Diaspora Ministry report.
