Wessel has said that the Berlin meeting that is being held and that of Paris expected to be held is very positive and show an added commitment of EU states to Kosovo.
The head of the Assembly has also spoken about what he expects from the Paris summit, to be held on July 1st.
Meanwhile, asked whether the Kosovo-based tax on goods imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina should be removed, Wessel said this tax should by no means be used against Kosovo. He has not given a definite answer as to whether this tax should be removed, but it says it is important that Kosovo comes out stronger than any decision making for the tax.
Wessel has also talked about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, which he says is being abused with dialogue with the Serbian state. He said Kosovo should show readiness for dialogue.
Asked whether Kosovo should set conditions for the agreement with Serbia, such as the question of the found, Wessel said Serbia should answer for the crimes and genocide it committed in Kosovo.
