Thaci calls these conclusions disappointing, saying we will not be found guilty of reducing the EU's role in the region and in Kosovo due to its continuing failures.
“While neighbouring states such as Albania and Northern Macedonia have hosted substatic news on their road to EU membership, we have expected something quite minimal”, Thaci wrote

With concern I have read the Council for General Affairs conclusions of the European Union.
Clearly, internal turbulence has troubled the EU vision, which is failing to overcome the protectionist instinct and neglect towards the entire region, especially Kosovo.
We are not guilty of internal EU problems, nor do we pose any risks to the EU.

While neighbouring states, such as Albania and Northern Macedonia, have hosted substantial news on their road to EU membership, we have expected something quite minimal.
We have only expected a positive reflection on the end of the unjust isolation of the people of Kosovo.
Unfortunately, the EU is treating Kosovo differently than other countries, and this injustice does not go unnoticed. But neither does the lack of a constructive commitment of our state institutions to co-ordinat strategic actions in the country's interest go unnoticed.
I invite institutional leaders and those of parliamentary political parties to reflect on the serious situation in which our country is located in relation to the realisation of our prospects for EU and NATO membership.
Isolation and stagnation must be over. Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo deserve Kosovo's development and integration into Euro-Atlantic structures. HTH
