Major rains had hit other cities today during the day, while now Serbian media report that the mass storm has reached the capital.
The storm has been mostly present in the central part of Belgrade, while in the periphery neighbourhoods it has been weaker.
While the mayor of the municipality, Zoran Radojicic, has ordered today all authorities to be on alert for any emergency situation, while urging citizens not to come out.
I call on citizens to close windows, doors and garages and all the rooms where water can enter. I urge those with flat terraces to remove the electric materials. I call on citizens not to come out, but if this storm finds you on the road, stop your vehicle and go to a safe place and wait until the storm of” said Radojicic.
