Blerand Stavileci has resigned from the position of chairman of the Pristina Basketball Club. That's because the law doesn't let him take this position anymore.
He has been addressed with a thank - you letter, which he concludes with the sentence: a life, a Pristina.
So announce on Facebook:
I love you Pristina,
I love you fellas,
You were always like this, smiling and happy with the victories and successes of our heart club,
but we have an obligation to respect the Law as honest and responsible citizens of our country.
The same Law that once enabled me to maintain the position of the head of the club is now inconsistent as a result of changes in legal provisions.
So today, I offered to resign from this post, with great sorrow and extraordinary pride at the same time.
I am convinced that our Pristina will continue to be more powerful and more successful!
Next you find the text of my resignation to members of the Steering Board and the Pristina Basketball Club Assembly:
Dear members of the Steering Board,
Honored members of the Pristina Basketball Club Assembly,
Dear colleagues,
I regret to announce that I must resign from the position of UN President Pristina, due to the new Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest, entered into force long ago, more precisely as Article 14 sets out The First Paragraph, which abolished the old Law, more precisely Article 11 First Paragraph, which at the time enabled me to maintain the position of both the senior public official and that of the head of the Club as the Nongovernmental Organization.
It's not easy to address you this way, because until now I'm almost always directed to communicate good news to you and big strategic decisions regarding the future of our club, for which we have invested a lot.
My club and your Hearts Club over the years has become a internationally recognised and respected inside, making us proud both in Kosovo and Europe. We have become synonymous with victories and successes. Only in the last six years have we managed to win a full 56 trophies. Their value was as great as their feeling of pride among thousands of Albanians around the world.
However, in carrying out public functions, in addition to the responsibilities and primary tasks we have related to the club's scope, above all, we have to respect the laws of our state, perhaps even to give example of how we should function. First the Law, his respect, and then the rest.
I want to firmly believe that our club will continue its course of success. I, as always, will be his greatest supporter.
As our best fans say, Plicas:
A Life, A Pristina!
Thanking everyone for their support and cooperation,
I will remain yours forever.
Forever, white and blue!
