Kosovo played in Nyrnberg against Germany on Sunday, while losing as a result of 28:17.
The first part ended with a score of 16:5, while in the second, the result was equal, 12:12.
The loss of 11 goals in contrast, however, is not estimated very high, when the quality of Germany is taken to base.
Germany has firmly won all the qualifying matches and was the only one to do so. Germans this year have played in the semifinals of the world championship, won the European title in 2016, and Olympic bronze medals that year.
In Pristina in October last year, Germany had won with a score of 30:14. Our national on Sunday scored more goals and also accepted less.
Things did not work in the first part, either in defense or in the attack. The German goalie hosted many Kosovo players' hits. In the second, the national played much better. Deniz Terzic was unstoppable in the attack, while the defence began to function. Haris Berisha stopped many German players from firing. So the impression improved after the first half.
With the match against Germany came to an end the second qualifying phase for “Euro 2020”.
For Kosovo this is a historic cycle and can also be assessed successfully.
It has marked its first victory in qualifications, against Israel (27:24), and also on Wednesday has been equal to Poland (23:23), in a match where “Dardians” have dominated.
The match with Germany was played in Nyrnberg in an extraordinary sports atmosphere, ahead of 7187 viewers. Support from hundreds of fans had our boys. Many Kosovo flags and national flags have appeared at the gym, writes the Kosovo Handball Federation.
The Poland-Israel match was played Sunday, while the victory marked Poland with 26:23. Poland thus ranked second and goes to European. Israel has failed to qualify from third position.
