The hero Xhemajl Fetahaji is remembered in Germany

Xhemajl Fetahaj was born on May 27, 1964, in an honest family known for high - estate traditions in the village of Raushiq, Pec.

Xhemajl Fetahaj, or Xhema, as family members, friends and fellow fighters called him, never agreed with the Serbian occupationist regime. It is concerned about determination, intelligence, devotion, stability, discretion, and high national and human awareness to sacrifice to the sacrifice for freedom of homeland. Throughout his homeland, he enjoyed the unreserved support of his family but also of his fellow fighters and ideals.

The primary school was conducted in the village of his birth, the secondary schooling at the High Economic School in Pec, where he joined many students from Decani, Istog, and other Kosovo countries who were expelled and imprisoned politically earlier.

As early as 1982, Gemma had joined the illegal routine of high school student life.

In addition to illegal activities, he and his associates made efforts to organize something more stable, a deeper organization. In this context, Xhemajli forms an illegal group under which boys of speech and trust, who stand out for courage and loyalty, in a series of domestic activities and duties of special importance, are organized.

Along with commitments in organised illegal ranks, in 1983 he continues his studies at the branch of History at the Faculty of Philosophy at Pristina University. Meanwhile, because of numerous domestic activities, state security agents stand out. On January 27, 1984, Xhemajli is imprisoned along with Brother Demas and other collaborators. They sentenced him to six years in prison for “vs. ”. After suffering, torture, and numerous past trials in Yugoslav prisons, Gemma grew stronger.

Xhemajl Fetahaj was the first initiator of the popular movement for the reconciliation of the blood, which in prison had placed himself on duty to hire two families in his village in the first case.

After being released from prison, Xhemajl Fetajh and his friends stand out in organizing the 1989-1990 demonstrations in Pec and beyond. Once again workers of the so-called Serbian state security “are in pursuit of Xhema. In October 1990, major security and Serbian police forces in Peja surround the Fetahaj family in Raushiq. They raid and abuse family members with an excuse for gun search and for the arrest of Xhemajli, who was not in the house.

Xhemajli is forced into illegality, never giving up on domestic activity.

Gemma, despite her desire, is forced to emigrate to Germany. As soon as it is placed there, it is immediately recorded in the currents of movement and together with friends working there within the LPK and continuing its domestic activity. Thanks to labour and unspoiled activity on the national issue, Xhemajl Fetahaj is elected a member of the General Council of the People's Movement of Kosovo. In the area where he was located, he is appointed responsible for the War Fund “his birth wish for” and the recruiting of young soldiers.

He made an extraordinary contribution to the collection of funds for the war. Very soon we find it among the main representatives of the Fund “'s birthlines” for the diaspora, but also for securing weapons via several lines, but it was not enough, because on the day it is on the front lines, alongside the valiant warriors of the Kosovo Liberation Army it had waited for years.

The 1999 spring, found in the ranks of the 138 “Agim Ramadani” KLA of the Dukagjin Operative Zone, where it shows rare courage and heroism in breaking the violent inter-Albanian border. He was a member of the Staff of Brigade 138 “Agim Ramadani”, of the Dukagjin Operative Zone, responsible for the intelligence-restraction sector, deputy commander of the Comando Corps “Delta” and commander of the First Platoon.

Since the first days of the attack on Serbian forces in Kostunica, Xhemajli had repeatedly entered into enemy territories. Noteworthy is the action undertaken on the third day of the attack in Kostunica, on 12 April 1999, when Serb forces were deployed in two houses. Unit of KLA led by Xhemajl Fetay on a lightning strike completely destroyed Serbian forces. Xhemajli with his unit was the front man in the fighting fought in Kostunica, as in the Kokore Caralla, as in the wars fought at the Hizhara Square, as in Gomure, in the Waters at the Zogu Plain, where Serb forces suffered great losses. His extraordinary statements on the struggle for freedom, given by the front of the war in Kostunica for foreign media, remain as a testament to freedom.

On May 31st 1999, it is heroic to clash with the invading Serb forces, never to die.

Witnessers of the Xhemajl Fetajj nation and Milazim Shala are the first martyrs to be buried two weeks after the fall at the Witnesses' Hive complex in Kosare.

Dozens of scriptures, poetry, and songs have been written for Xhemajl Fetay. They wrote to him Faton Mehmetaj, Hasan Hasan, Hasan and Lajde Blakaj; Ibis Neziri has dedicated the monograph to “I am here to fight enemies -- Monography for Witnessing of the Xhemajel Fetaj” -- published the Association of Political Prisoners, Pristina, 2013; Director Esat Brajshori, co-operative in Serbian prisons with Xhemajli, dedicated the documentary to “Lari for Kosovo”, etc.

Xhemajl Fetayaj is decorated with Kosovo's “Hero Order”, by President Atifete Jahjaga, on the fifth anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence.

The national hero Xhemajl Fetahaj is always remembered and honoured with high pillars for life, activity and the glorious fall for freedom of country.
