Agreement signed for consulting Telekom restructuring services

According to the MZHE, being found in an operational situation, the Board of Directors in May last year has made a decision to open the company's restructuring phase together with the implementation of an investment plan.

“In co-operation with the Board of Directors, as minister responsible for Public Enterprises, I have asked the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (BERZH) to provide technical assistance (in the form of grant) to advisers, who advise the ministry about the restructuring and reposition of this company. In demand, I have noted the fact that the Government of Kosovo, based on its governing plan, envisions the privatisation of this company. Also, I have made it clear that before each privatisation decision, improved performance of the company, as well as the practices within it is priority and would precede any other” process, Minister Luka has indicated after signing the agreement between the EURZH and Telekom. Minister Luka has thanked B The ERZH, which has responded positively to the Kosovo Government's request to accept assistance in terms of the treatment of councillors to provide technical assistance in the restructuring phase, as well as the delivery of foreign advisers who provide their expertise in drafting a roadmap about privatisation, which will set the steps Kosovo Government must follow in order to privatise Kosovo Telekom”, it is said in the communiqué.
