Zinedine Zidane wants his son, Luca, to be Real Madrid's second goalkeeper for next season, after Thibaut Courtois.
“trainer Los Blankos”, Zinedine Zidane, told Keylor Navas he could leave the club this summer. This conversation was held Friday.
When the World Cup Golden Glove winner, Thibaut Courtois, was transferred to Real Madrid last season, he joined 32-year-old Navas and young man Andriy Lonin as the option for the goalkeeper's position in the first formation.
The club's management board instructed then coach Yulen Lopetegüin to slowly inspect Courtos in the first formation. However, Lopeteguit decided that Courtois would be a title in La League, and Navas in the Champions League.
After Lopetegüi's dismissal, Santiago Solar placed Courto as the first goalkeeper, while Navas had to suffice for the King's Cup match.
Now that Zidane has been renamed to the coach's position, he has decided Courto to be Real Madrid's first goalkeeper, while the second goalkeeper is his son, Luca. The club's management board disagrees with this decision, as they believe Lunani should have that role.
The “those who know me know that Luca is here because he deserves”, Zidane said when asked about Lucas's ability in April of this year.
