The country's president, Hashim Thaci, after the action in the north, has said that in the second decade of the Republic of Kosovo, there will be room for organised crime, and those involved in illegal activities will end behind bars.
Thaci has stressed that rule and law institutions need the maximum trust and support of society in the fight against organised crime, smuggling and corruption in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
The rule and law institutions need the maximum trust and support of society in the fight against organised crime, smuggling and corruption in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo. I express my regret for the injuries of our police officer in charge of duty and wish him a quick recovery. In the second decade of the Republic of Kosovo, there will be room for organised crime, and those involved in illegal activities will end up behind bars. Today's police operation is for the benefit of all citizens indiscriminately, and I invite the Serb community in the north to remain calm and support the fight against organised crime. Strengthening order and law is vital for the equality of all citizens and accelerating our movement towards the process of Euro-Atlantic integration”, Thaci wrote.
