As predicted widely, Deontay Wilder defended the WBC heavyweight title against Dominic Breazeales in New York on Sunday morning (at our local time).
However, hardly anyone could have predicted that the American would have ruled out the opponent in the first round, the Periscope broadcast.
Given that the Breazeal was considered a highly dignified boxer, the brutal nature of his loss prompted many reactions from the boxing world.
It took just 37 seconds Wilder to bring down the Breazeal and defend the title until British boxing legend Lennox Lewis has now reacted by severely criticising the loser of the mechi.
“Didn't seem to be bringing too much on the table tonight. I don't know what he was thinking with that kick on the left, and you also shouldn't expect to get hit, you attack him from the start.
“Wilder once again showed the destructive power, but he will certainly not learn much from this drug.” /Periscope. com/
It didn't seem like Breazele brought much to the table tone. Dunno what he was doing w/ the left hockey &u also doesn't wait on a farmer. got out on him from the start. Wilder once again showed his shocking power but likewise won't learn much from this one. ♪ WilderBreaselle
