Government law prohibits ministers and deputy ministers from two jobs

National Co-ordinator for State Reform Besnik Tahiri in an interview for “Daily Face” has said that with the Law on Government, there will be no more than 15 ministries and there will be no more two deputy ministers, and there will be no second jobs, as now happens to be ministers [...]
Tahiri stressed how the working group are being able to receive as broad as possible political support as it is in this law.
And we have some formal processes to forward to Government, at the moment we have internal consultations with the prime minister, and I have also had a meeting with the EU representatives, where I have introduced the draft law, how small the ministries, what is the form, logic, then goes into public discussion, where we call civil society for discussions<1>, Tahiri said.
Co-ordinator Nacional indicated that public consultations will last two weeks, and after the comments are received, go to the polls.
Tahiri explained more extensively the logic of the Law on Government.
The rule of law is that it maintains the principles of good governance, conveys models of countries that are EU members with the parliamentary system like us. There will be no more than 15 ministries, and there will be no more than 2 deputy ministers and they will have Portfolio. Under the new law there will be no second job, both minister and professor, we have adjusted transparency”, he explained.
For the Government Law, Tahiri said there have been discussions with Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselin and Finance Minister Bedri Hamza.
Tahiri said he expects the Law for Government to pass by 2/3 of MPs in the Kosovo Assembly.
