Initially these 25 companies were contracted by the Croatian company “Suma Engineering Platform”, which had been contracted directly by Bechtel Enka, who is the winner of the tender for the construction of the highway.
These companies have been addressed to the prime minister's office three days ago, a requirement for solving the problem. They call for the government's reaction because, on the contrary, they say a large number of companies will go bankrupt and remain without jobs about 300.
Because we had contractual agreements with the “company Suma Engineering Platform” and from time to time the phenomenon of non-paying on the part of this company, in mid-May 2018 we have announced the company's representative. Antonie Tomic, for interrupting jobs in this project for the sake of long-time bills”, says the letter sent by these companies to Prime Minister Haradinaj.
In this document companies say they had stopped work by mid-May last year. And that after this action, Bechetel Enka's representatives had been invited to the meeting on March 24th, writes Insander.
The meeting they say was held at Bechtel Enka's central camp in Ferizaj, during which company fascists had been asked not to leave work.
“We are guaranteed by representatives of Bechtel Enka who will pay us dues (Borgheet) to have the Suma Engineering platform by May 24th 2018, and have taken responsibility and promised to pay off obligations (We will stick to) until the end of the project”, says the letter sent to the prime minister.
After that, these companies had continued their work and supplies to the project.
“Initially it seemed that this issue improved, but in time the problems began again with bill defaults, which so far the total debt value the Suma Engineering platforming company to local companies is 989 thousand euros”, says the report.
