“Vaxes are so important”, Trump told reporters outside the White House.
About 700 fruit cases have been reported in 22 US states, the country's Centre for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Inoculation rates are said to have declined in the U.S. because many parents oppose it for philosophical or religious reasons or believe in classified information that vaccines cause autism in children.
The World Health Organization has announced that in the first three months of 2019, over 110,000 cases of measles have been recorded in the world.
The figure represents growth of 300% compared to last year.
