With such a problem is facing the Judiciary in Kosovo. During this week, dozens of women returning from Syria appeared at the Pristina Foundation Court, wearing the religious cover known as the burka that enables judges or investigators to see their faces.

Radio Free Europe has tried to receive answers from Pristina Foundation Court officials about how court hearings were held against Syria-turned women, but the Foundation has not returned.

One of the lawyers representing a Syrian-turned woman, Fort Mehmeti, says her client, on the day she appeared in court, has not been asked to remove the cover, although she says the women who appeared in court, could be seen.

“These (requisitions) are automatically excluded from procedure, nor has they entered the personal life of either one, is simply held as it is with all customers, as with all other procedures. In the Kosovo Judiciary Council, they have said this issue is regulated in the spirit of respect for human rights, but they have no specific answers on how judges should act in these cases.
