Everest is investigating a video showing their goalkeeper and the nationals of England, Jordan Peckford, in a street fight in his hometown of Sunderland.
The video running online was taken several hours after Pickford was at his former team's stadium to watch the match against Portsmouth in the lost final of the Checkatrade Trophy on Sunday, Periscope follows.
Everton's statement states: “Klub is aware of an incident where one of our players is said to be involved and we are considering that issue carefully. ”
In the video, people can be heard screaming “Jordan” until the fight stops before the man believed to be Pickford crawls.
Pickford played against West Ham in the Everton 2-to-0 victory Sunday before going to his hometown.
Last month Everton coach Marco Silva had said that 25-year-old should show more emotional balance after mental error in the lost 3-2 match against the rivals of the native team in Sunderland, Newcastle. /Periscopi
