PSD MP Shqipe Pantina has said that raising the minimum wage for the private sector in Kosovo is necessary.
Pantina, in “Dosier D” on RTV Dukaagjini, has said the salary is not social assistance but the reward for the work the worker does.
“What can be done at a salary of 130 or 170 euros... has not been raised the minimum wage rate in the private sector for over eight years, until in the public sector they have steadily increased. We think it's the responsibility of the economic-fiscal Council to make the proposal, and then Government with an administrative guide decides what the minimum wage will be”.
PSD MP has said that on the basis of consultations this party has made with experts, they have concluded that the minimum wage must be between 240-250 euros.
This was also the proposal we gave. Whether 239 or 250 euros, of importance is that the salary should be raised and not remain in the current figure”, she said, sends thegraphy.
Pantina has said this salary is not affordable to the employer.
We've seen many businesses that the owners don't have their jobs wrong. Just seeing the cars driving shows that they don't have a job profit, but that profit they shouldn't do at the expense of workers”
Opposition MP added further that it is necessary for businesses to be stimulated by the state through soft loans or other ways.
