It has gone to eight numbers of athletes who will represent Kosovo at the second Minsk 2019 European Games, held on 21-30 June in the capital of Belarus.
LE Minsk organiser 2019 has confirmed the participation of five of our Juddismen, Majlinda Kelmendi, Nora Gjakova, Distria Krasniqi, Akil Gjakova and Loriana Kuka, who have qualified at the rate.
Distria is the second holder in the category of up to 48kg, Majlinda is fourth (-52kg), Nora first (57kg), Achilles fourth (73kg), and Loriana the eighth (-78kg).
Judo coach Driton Kuka believes that even Minsk will return with medals.
“Normically, the odds are for medals and I believe we'll be back with medals, as long as it remains to be seen.
In Judo, the European Games are also European champions -- that is, it will be a very strong race” -- has declared Kuka for “noc-kosovo.org”.
Just in Judo, Kosovo numbers a bronze medal won by Juda Nora Gjakova, in the debut of our team in Baku 2015.
Before the Judists, but at the invitation, KOK has also been confirmed the participation of boxer Donjeta Sadik, karateist, Alvin Karaqi and table tennis player Fatih Karabajaku.
The date of confirmation has not yet been closed, and in the coming days, confirmation of any other sports athletes is likely to come to the KOK.
