Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has estimated today that the Berlin summit will be a good opportunity for opening up the perspective for the entire region, while waiting for Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron to convince the Serbian state of recognition of Kosovo.
Before leaving for the Berlin Summit, President Thaci at a media conference has said Kosovo goes with clear positions on this summit, where it has once again reiterated that Kosovo is ready for continued dialogue.
The “upcoming Berlin meeting, dedicated to current developments in Kosovo in particular, will be a good opportunity to open good prospects for the region. Kosovo goes with clear positions, as it has met all criteria for visa liberalisation. Kosovo is clear to continue dialogue -- an agreement that opens possibilities for dialogue, but in no way conditioning. I expect genocide to be condemned by the initials of this meeting. I also state that our position is constitutional and legal. I do not expect dialogue or negotiations to happen, but I continue to stress my position that it would be support for the accession of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac. We will not allow any kind of dual sovereignty, nor any German-German model or any kind of association”, he said.
