Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said investment in the New Kosovo “is the largest in post-war Kosovo to exceed over a billion dollars.
“is not privatisation, it is private foreign investment. Money is not government, it does not guarantee the government credit. Kosovo with this investment would immediately start adding to the budget. Water and coal are raw materials and we sell them to”, Haradinaj said in the Assembly, where he is discussing the contract with Contour Global.
While addressing the deputies, Haradinaj has stressed that the project for the new “Kosova” has been greatly advanced by the Government before me.
“We have bought over 650m euros of energy abroad. From the government of Bajram Rexhepi so far Kosovo buys energy from Serbia every month”.
“I don't want to see Kosovo as Serbia's Kolubari energy buyer. Today Kosovo is endangered, it doesn't produce energy, Thermo power plant “A” and “B” are old.
“There is a power mafia that has bought energy for Kosovo for 20 years, maybe it's not national, maybe it's international”.
