Ayax, SPV Eindhoven and Feynoord have dominated Dutch football, especially in modern times, winning from 33, 24 and 15 titles.
Other clubs have had history: AZ Alkmaar and FC Tweente, who are the only ones to have won Erediviasie in the 21st century, while now the little-known HVVV Den Haag club won 10 titles before World War I.
Willem II ) currently eighth in the rankings has developed several high profile players in recent years.
The Tilburg-based club has won three Dutch titles, recently in the mid-1950s, but the team's most promising players in general have not stayed for long.
