According to him, a consultation is being made between Westerners because they have realised that changing borders cannot happen. In KTV's interactive, Deda has said partitioning Kosovo has died as a plan, but is now on the table.
The “is taking place a consultation of Western countries, a restar of this process with as much information as I have and will continue after a time of news or messages that we are used to. Now there is a consultation between them because of the Western understanding that changing Kosovo's borders can occur because of the political and social rejection taking place in Kosovo. Kosovo's partition as a plan is dead, but it is no longer on the table. It seems to have taken some time for their consultations and continuation of the process. I have after the meetings and this part is the topic of our meetings, but not so mediating because there's also a discussion of how to keep going before”, he said.
According to the Deda, there must be keys to European diplomats with credibility to be given in terms of dialogue.
“I think Kosovo should seek keys to serious European loan diplomats in this process to grant credibility. They need to recognise the region and understand that the peaceful agreement between the two states can be something uncompliable or that leads to greater crisis. Even the EU should provide a kind of offer for us and Serbia and the Western Balkans”, Deda has added.
He has said further that the stagnation of dialogue could be a warning for new elections, while adding that the West insists that the process be completed this year.
Speaking of the Dialogue Law and the negotiating team, Deda has said the good of the law is that leadership has been removed from President Hashim Thaci. According to Deda, Westerners have understood that Thaci has no support in Kosovo with the idea of borders. He called this a victory for Kosovo. He has said Thaci has been discredited and suffered political fiasco because “has lied in international relations”.
The first rule in international relations is not to lie because you have to have credibility. Kosovo forces cannot carry them out of Kosovo. There they eat grass, they may eat us, and they think that with that kind of mentality, they move forward, but in international relations you can. The unpleasant meetings with Western representatives were the meaning of a truth, and it has given me great satisphation. For a moment something we finally got”, he said further.
He has criticised opposition parties that have agreed to participate in the negotiating team.
