Have you heard that pregnant girls should sleep in their arms? And these are not just old words, even experts say so!
Research conducted at the University of Huddersfield has shown that it reduces the risk of a child being born dead if her mother sleeps in her arms during pregnancy, not on her back.
Although a proper place for sleep during pregnancy should be found, new research suggests that pregnant girls should sleep on their side.
Scientists have analyzed the sleep posts of 851 mothers and 2,257 pregnant women.
The analysis showed that back sleep after the 28th week of pregnancy increases the risk of a baby being born dying 2.6 times.
Still no official explanation for this, although some experts say that stretching to the back limits oxygen circulation to the fruit.
After the 28th week of pregnancy, the safest is to sleep on the side, rather than on the back of”, scientists say after the study was done.
Dr. Tomasna Stacey, the lead author of the study, says that sleep on the back “poses danger only to a small number of pregnant”, yet, because of safety, all pregnant are advised to sleep in their arms.
