Long Columns and More Than Three Hours in Merdare

The passage of SLS members to the border point in Merdare has caused long anticipation in this part and also widespread dissatisfaction with citizens.

Communists who were waiting to cross the Kosovo border Serbia said that because of this activity they are waiting for more than three hours.

Gani Hasani co-member, asked SLS leader Slobodan Petrovic why they chose to do this activity today when it is known that the influx of fellow countrymen during the end of the week is evidently greater.

Hasani: We have been waiting for three hours we do not know why this activity is taking place

We're waiting three and a half hours and the border is blocked, the importance of this gathering we don't know... The border is blocked with women, elders and children, and it's about the end of the week if there's any possibility that this visit would be made Monday when there are few fellow countrymen”, this fellow countryman said.

Serbian Liberal Party leader Slobodan Petrovic responded by telling him that their situation is more difficult than those exiles are expecting.

He called on institutions to deal with resolving this problem.

Petroviq: Our problem is greater

” I understand your anger but you at least wait and pass while our problem is being stopped. I nevertheless appeal to the police of the two countries to make the transition easier”, Petrovic said.

Citizens Arton Zymer, for Kosovapress, said they are always facing this problem.

According to him, these long waits at the Merdare border point are caused by the tortures being inflicted on them by Serbia.

 Voice: The same situation is always, we've been waiting since half ten.

“Today I've been waiting since 09:30 so far, and I think about 1: 00 p.m. the same is always the same thing, when kids are vacationing in Germany, there's always trouble to get to the border, not Albanians, but Albanians... The problem has not made us protests, the problem is being made towards Serbia”, this citizen said.

Lute Grabanica, who was traveling to Germany, expressed concern over these long wait in Merdare.

Even this exile said that longer expectations are being made at the border point with the Serbian state.

Gracanica: That I've been on stone for 24 years every time

It's been three hours. I expect more often... No, they didn't. It's good for our country, for travelers travelling into exile it's not the first time, but since I've been on the stones for 24 years by three, four, five hours to 10 hours it's happened to me by”, Grabanica said.

Even the National Centre for Border Management has announced that columns and expectations have been added at the border point in Merdare.

At this border point, the motorcades of vehicles during the time of the protest reached up to six miles [2 km].

Otherwise, during today at the Merdare border point in light of dissatisfaction with the stops being made to members of Serbia's Liberal Party, but at this point they have tried to cross that part of the border.
