The legend of Crvena Zvezda and Serbia, Dusan Savic, has commented on the eventual confrontation in the future between Kosovo and Serbia in football.
The prominent former Serbian footballer insists such a confrontation will not take place, while adding that Kosovo should even not be allowed to hold international matches in any sport, as he still considers it part of Serbia.
You know my opinion when it comes to a country I don't know and that is a territory created in the territory that belongs to Serbia. It is idiotic that we have allowed them to hold high-level matches in several other sports, without taking the fact that if they play with or without a flag, this is unacceptable”, Savic said of Serbian Telegraph in his online version.
I don't think this confrontation can happen in football. If this were to happen, it really meant that we fell to the lowest degree. I don't think this could happen”, Savic continued.
Serbian media have also written about the possibility that the match between Montenegro and Kosovo, which they consider historic, could take place without audience presence in Podgorica on 7 June.
