In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network during an official stance in Israel, he said it is the religious belief that makes him believe it.
He also praised US efforts to ensure that this democracy in the Middle East and this Jewish state remain.
These comments were made during a Jewish festival celebrating Jewish salvation from genocide.
The festival “Purim” commemorates the Biblical salvation of the Jewish people that Queen Esther made by the Persians, as the interviewer said to Pompeii, writes BBC, broadcast Koha.net.
He was asked if President Trump could happen to Queen Esther to help save the Jewish people from an Iranian threat.
As a Christian, I certainly believe it is possible. I am convinced that this is the work of God”, Pompeo, former owner of Kansas who was also director of the CIA.
Pomepo is not the first Trump official to say that there is a divine will behind Trump's actions. Even White House Press Secretary Sarah Sander had told a religious television network in January that “God wanted Donald Trump to become president”.
