A Kosovo youth has published his experience from the clash of dogs, which has left traumatised.
He has organized a petition requiring 150 thousand signatures to stop this phenomenon. Also appealed to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and the Kosovo Police to react.
This is the announcement that 150 thousand signatures are required through the petition:
We call on Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, AVUUK and Kosovo Police to stop this cruel act once and for all and to instruct all police forces to take action against violators and abuse of dogs for fighting.
Personal History: I'm starting this petition to stop the blood and dog fighting sport in Kosovo and to close all the dog breeding boxes where it was raised only for dog fights. Severe fights are being fought every day in Kosovo. In January 2019 in Rahovec Kosovao an innocent dog wasted his life cruelly fighting because he was forced to fight a dog for fun. I've also encountered people doing business online. They carry dogs for combat and are promoted for sale via Facebook. The largest is in Prizren. The dogs are kept isolated by people and so they spend most of their lives in short and heavy chains. The conditioning of combating dogs can use a variety of legal and illegal drugs, including anabolic steroids to increase muscle mass and promote aggression. Narcotic drugs can also be used to increase dog aggression, increase inactivity, and mask pain or fear during a war. War dogs have unanesthesia and veterinarian ears cut off, usually carrying out this cut using raw and inhuman techniques. Forced dogs suffer terrible injuries, both from fighting and the hands of their fierce owners. Most will eventually be killed online or will die soon after their injuries. Those who cannot fight are most often treated brutally. This barbarous practice has to stop. Those that happen in combating dogs are generally involved in other illegal behavior. Fighting dogs is barbarous and cannot be allowed to be part of a modern society. Rather than tolerate such cruel acts that affect human minds and their willingness to accept the killings of living existence, we demand that the prime minister adopt a law to protect animals, putting every cruelty against animals and every criminal act under severe punishment. Will he join me today by signing this petition to help and stop this cruel act once and for all?
Question: Fighting dogs is barbarous, and we cannot allow it to be part of modern society.
Act! Fighting dogs is the worst thing that could happen to a dog. It's brutal. People who do this are disgusting and should be ashamed of what they are doing. The dog must be loved and not homesick. I love all dogs and they deserve to be treated with love and respect. Please join me and sign my request that all dogs in Kosovo be treated with love and respect that they deserve. ”
