Sylejman Vokshi's Tower is the asset not only to the Gjakova municipality, is the value of our historical heritage, culture and resistance, so it cannot be jeopardised and protected by the citizens of Gjakova and all of Kosovo.
The civic revolution, in terms of arbitrary actions of local governance not only in this case, but for years, following individual interests, not the community, and seriously affecting the living environment and the authenticity of the city in Gjakova, essentially degrading any value of spatial planning, is right.
Organised crime, nepotism, party clientism and ignorance are enthralling Kosovo as well.
This should be interrupted as soon as possible, citizens of the Gjakova municipality, even though they see and feel that they have been neglected and ignored every day, must regain the strength and civil courage to react to their right. They must seek an account and responsibility toward each and every one who oversteps and misuses their powers. They must react to injustice and prevent unjust, illegal and harmful processes and decisions for the Communists.
While urban development is the inevitable process and demand of the time, the Gjakova municipality must keep in mind that protection of heritage and environment is the constitutional responsibility established with Article 52, the Constitution of Kosovo, and that in making the decision, it must carefully balance right between citizens' interests for environmental/trasegation protection, such as sustainable development and urban development.
