During this discussion, Minister Ismaili said the initiative for finalising this document is important for many reasons, but, more importantly, will be to preserve the state budget and the pocket of citizens.
The same prices for the same drugs in each drug store, throughout Kosovo, to put an end to the very high costs of citizens in the purchase of” drugs, the minister Ismaili has said.
Minister Ismaili said that Kosovo is the only country in Europe, along with Belarus, which has not been regulated to purchase referenced medicines.
“To keep the pocket of citizens, the state budget, and to remove Kosovo from this “black players”, in close co-operation with the World Health Organization, we have drafted Administrative Guide for the regulation and unification of drug prices”, Minister Ismaili added.
Administrator's guidance, once in effect, will regulate the prices of all drugs: Those on the Essencial List, those who will be repaid by the Health Insurance Fund, as well as those described by the doctor.
