Kosovo seeks greater number of European Games participants

The Kosovo Olympic Committee has indicated that for the European Games “Minsk 2019” have applied for participation 25 athletes, seven more than the number of athletes who participated in the latest edition, “Baku 2015”.
25 athletes of seven sports federations in Kosovo have applied for participation in the Second European Games Minsk 2019, which are held from 21-30 June in Minsk, Belarus.
Federations have completed the app required by the organiser, while the Executive Board of KOK approved the list in the meeting last night.
February 28th has been the last to send the wide list, while a month later it will be set for the final list.
The Federations that have applied are: Judo, karate, boxing, wrestling, table tennis, archery, and cycling.
Kosovo's debut in the European Games has taken place in Baku 2015, in which it won the bronze medal with the jungle, Nora Gjakova. In Baku, our team represented 18 athletes.
