At a meeting EU officials must approve this new list, which on 12 March will be confirmed by the Union's finance ministers, Reuters reported, citing an EU official.
The list so far was with five countries and territories: Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago, and three American territories American Samoa, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
They must join the United Arab Emirates, Oman, the British territory of Bermuda and other islands of the Caribbean and Pacific, the EU official said.
Reuters recalls that 62 countries and territories around the world have pledged to comply with EU tax standards. They were asked to change their regulations by the month of February.
The United Arab Emirates and Bermuda have not yet done so, but according to the above-mentioned officials, the EU is still considering extending the deadline.
