Challenge shows whether to retire after Kosovo National adventure

Challandes in a long interview given to the Swiss portal “Cooperase”, has stressed that success is achieved only if football players help each other, the KTV broadcast.

In Kosovo, the family is the institution. If someone in the family does something beautiful, a pride arises. This mentality has taken root in players. Our team should be like a real family, where everyone helps”.

Asked whether Kosovo will also be the last experience as coach, Challandes has not ruled it out as an opportunity.

Maybe. When I retire, I will have more time for grandchildren who play soccer or tennis. I think I'm lucky because I've had everything in my life. And, to me, a family is worth more than a thousand victories on the ground”.

But, Challands aims to achieve as many victories with Kosovo during the new qualifying cycle for the European Championship “Euro 2020”. First qualifying match Kosovo plays 25 March against Bulgaria at the “Fadil Vokri” stadium.

There is an extraordinary euphoria “in all of Kosovo”.

Kosovo will also have the second opportunity to hope for the qualifications at “Euro 2020” through the League of Nations. In the semifinals to be played after the completion of regular qualifications, Kosovo will play against Macedonia in March.
