During this interview, Challandes spoke about the period when he took over the direction of the National of Kosovo until the current period, as well as his predictions of the Euro 2020 qualifying matches.
He in this interview has also said that in the event he suffers eight losses in these qualifications, he will not be the Kosovo coach, for the semifinals of Macedonia, within the League of Nations.
“We want to start with a good start in Pristina and to get a point or three points against Bulgarians, it would be fantastic. At the same time, however, people may wonder what our real purpose is. And our real goal is March 2020, the match against Macedonia. However, we should be able to deal with both. I know that. When it comes to football, as a coach, if I suffer eight losses in qualifications, I won't be there for the match against Macedonia. And that's perfectly logical, it's normal, I would understand, because football has to do with results, with progress, it has to do with development”, Challandes said about U n EFA.
He said he wouldn't deserve to be responsible for the semifinals, in case he wasn't willing to face that challenge.
I don't think I'd deserve to be responsible for the semifinals if we didn't prove that we're facing the challenge. So on one side I'm pretty cool about this, but at the same time I'm aware of the fact that it's going to be a difficult step for the coach as well as team”, Challandes said.
We remember that “Dardians” will hold the first qualifying match to Bulgaria at the “Fadil Vokri” Stadium, starting at 20:45.
