Bolton said in an interview with American television ABC that the US has no illusions about what North Korea is capable of, but that Trump remains convinced in his personal relations with North Korean leader.
The president has invested a lot in developing this relationship and is open to holding a third summit for which nothing has been assigned, as it should take a little time”, Bolton said.
He said Trump is ready to join the dialogue again, as he believes North Korean possibilities are high if it gives up nuclear weapons.
Bolton's comments were published after two American research organizations and the South Korean Secret Service announced that North Korea was preparing to launch a rocket or satellite from Sohae in the western part of the country.
South Korean Intelligence Service said there were activities at the Sanumdong facility not too far from genan, where the first intercstinal ballistic missiles in North Korea were produced.
Bolton declined to comment whether new activities on launching a new North Korean missile would disrupt dialogue with the US. He noted that it would be a mistake to assume that North Korea “automatically” would respect its obligations.
At the end of the week, Trump told reporters that he would be disappointed if the jinn were to proceed with weapons testing, Kosova Prees broadcast.
North Korea suspended nuclear and missile tests in 2017.
